About Kilkenny Farms & Marilyn
I have been involved with dogs all my life. At age 12 I was given my first registered dog, a Scotch Collie named Ascot Golden Rob Roy (Laddie). At 16 my Dad purchased a registered breed/show quality Boxer puppy for me. I showed her and her puppies and received my first taste of breeding and showing a champion at 18 years old. Busy with a small family I had dogs as pets and purchased a show / breed quality Bullmastiff when my children were grown. I bred and showed Simmental Cattle and horses (mainly Thoroughbred and some Arabians). My first Simmental heifer calf became a National Champion. My ongoing involvement with Miniature Australian Shepherds was initially to replace my involvement with the cattle industry. My research led to Linda Perry of Patchwork Farms and resulted in my acquisition of two beautiful pups from her. I also acquired outstanding breeding stock from other breeders.
Thank you to Linda Perry, Brenda-Lee Hoskins and Kim Gardner.
Words cannot express the world that opened up for me through getting to know
the Miniature Australian Shepherd. Here at Kilkenny Farms we strive not only for
beauty, sound health and ability, but consider temperament as always in the
foreground of our efforts to develop a true versatile Miniature Australian
Shepherd of the highest quality.
Our golden Chow boy, Mi-Pao’s Cream Wolf placed in his group at championship show in 2011 under Judge Letitia Bette, Ontario, Canada. Handled by Wally Kiselbach.
Thank you Paul and Minnie Odenkirchen for “Wolf”.
I visited the 50th Anniversary of the Chow Club of Canada on June the 4th at Mississaga Ontario and saw Paul Odenkirchen show and win the Specialty with “Mojo”. What a thrill!
Our Wolf is a one-half brother to Mojo through Suzette, Mojo’s dam and Dior is a one-half sister to Mojo through Czardas, Mojo’s sire.
This is where the Kilkenny dogs roam!

Wally K. and Kilkenny Farms were fortunate enough to acquire a new Chow from Mi-Pao Kennels. Mi-Pao Dior Red is a light red female puppy born August 27, 2011.
Thank you Paul and Minnie for this opportunity!
Look for her in the show ring!
I also visited the show of Mini Aussies at Ancaster, Ontario, the next day and saw Ch. McGuffin’s Sonny’s Side Up’s son, Gr. Ch. Stoverley’s Jazz da’Man win Best of Breed and the group. The day before Brinn’s son, Larry finished his championship and won Best of Breed and placed 2nd in the group.
More News: The first American Kennel Club show that allowed our breed to enter as 4-6 month old puppies was held in Texas this month. The Mini puppy, out of 49, won Best Puppy In Show and won the group even over adults.
